FAQs

Do I need a fan on my hearth product?

The main purpose of a fan is to circulate air in the room, helping the space heat up faster and spreading warmth from your stove or fireplace more evenly.

  • Standard Fans: Fans built into a hearth appliance require a 110V power source, so they won’t work during a power outage.
  • Thermoelectric Fans: These sit on top of a wood or gas stove and use the stove’s heat to generate electricity, powering the fan without external electricity. They are the best choice if you want airflow during a power outage.
